Join the KCDC Policy Council and the Washington Low Income Housing Alliance for a special Tenants Town Hall with impacted tenants and stakeholders to get ready for the 2023 state legislative session. Bills to address rent increases, to enforce tenant protections and budget requests to increase funding for eviction prevention will be discussed. Tenants and allies are invited.

HEALTH EQUITY

Join the KCDC Health Equity Committee in our effort to advocate for better connections to culturally appropriate healthcare in Kent!
We will learn more about a tool for closed-loop referrals from UniteUs called Community Information Exchanges (CIEs), where referrals for services between healthcare providers, behavioral health services, and community organizations work closely together so that individuals have better access to the care and supports they need to improve their health.

The Kent Community Development Collaborative Leadership Institute is a virtual workshop to build skills and relationships together as a Kent community. The institute will focus on the basics of community organizing, racial equity, and making positive changes to the city of Kent.

KCDC focused on identifying ways to improve access to economic development in the Kent Community through collaboration with residents, business owners, training centers, financial and permitting institutions, and increased access to small business loans and permits for low-income and residents of color.
